Tour de France - Cycling

  • Created By: dart170

The game is simple its about cycling!!!! Basically you are riding a stationary bike or Fluid trainer and the trainer or bike is connected to the wii.  You would start the game as a beginner and make your way up the ladder until you make it to the biggest race in the world and race in the tour. The reason the wii is the best platform for this is because you can interact with the machine like no other console and as the races get harder the game would require you to peddle faster and thus causing you to work out harder.

    • I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to spend 3 weeks riding on the trainer/game to simulate the Tour de France...ha...I agree. They need a cycling game.

    • This already exists but not for the Wii. It's called a Tacx trainer. You can race alone or hook into the internet and race anyone in the world on it if you've got an extra 1500 or so dollars laying around. But I'd love to see if the Wii folks could get a functional platform up and running because I'd buy it.

    • Someone should defiantly put Tracx, Wii, and Tour de France reps in a room together over this, it would be brilliant. with the technology of Tracx, the platform capabilities of Wii and the graphics/racing knowledge of the new Pro Cycling Manager game it could really take off.

    • I allready use my exorcise bike to do the sprints and pass the runner infront of you events in 'my perosnal trainer' from EA I put the nunchcuck in my sock and actually get a better responce from it than running on the spot. the responce is so good that you can almost feel accelaration when trying to pass another runner. But there are no long races or events so thinking about the amount of exorcise bikes there must be world wide i think there is a HUGE market for a cycling game. Almost any existing race could be simulated in a reduced form or its full online.

    • i think alot of cyclist would like the product if it hook up to a bike trainer, esp in the winter months first a training program and then getting to race against someone or do a tour it sound fun but it would hav to hav a good bike trainer set up with your own bike

    • it would be cool you get your exercise and play the wii esp the winter months to character a player, hav him or her go thru a season, that he develops to be the leader of the team to play the tour de france or a made up tour with many stages as you ride on your bike trainer .. a bike trainer would be best, die hard cyclist would definity buy it, even if they had to buy the trainer.

    • this would be a good idea, but what casual gamers can bike at the 40-50kph that teh TDF can manage on the flat stages for 200km?

    • The game that comes with the Cyberbike is good but Nintendo needs to add more games for use with the bike. A Tour de France game would be a good start. I also think Nintendo can look to NetAthlon for more ideas.
