There are so many First-Person Shooters our there. Most of which are Modern, or World War II based.
How about a good Archery shooter?
You take the basic gameplay of the bow & arrow from Zelda, and the Crossbow from the Wii Zapper bundle. Here is where it differs. You actually "draw" the bow.
You reach forward with the Wiimote, and then click a button to grab the string. Then pull the Wiimote back. Release the button to fire the arrow. You move with the joystick.
Now just add in some adventure, and FPS elements, such as multiple weapon types, and interactive bystanders.
A spear, or rope, or a slingshot (A piece of cloth holding a rock, that you swing around your head.).
For variety, some missions should be on "horseback". Or should require "riding" something. (A dragon?)
