In Rhythm Heaven for the Nintendo Ds, your goal was to make it through a series of mini-games involving tapping and flicking to the rhythm. Now for the Nintendo Wii comes the next in the series, Reflex Heaven.
There are 50 mini-games in Reflex Heaven based around how well your reflexes are.
The controls are simple like its predecessor: tap, release, and flick. To tap, quickly tap the corresponding button(s). To release, hold the corresponding button(s) and release on time. To flick, give the Wii remote a quick flick of the wrist. That's it.
Unlike Rhythm Heaven, the mini-games won't just revolve around playing to the music, but involve several fast-paced challenges that get harder as you go along. In one mini-game you may be a superfast runner starting off a 100 meter dash against NPCs by flicking the controller, the closer your flick is to the sound of the gunshot the faster you will start and run. In another mini-game you may be capturing a photograph of a fast-moving UFO with a quick tap of a button or blocking a soccer goal with a flick in the right direction. As usual there are several Remix levels showcasing your talents in their four mini-games.
There is a Multi Player mode for friends to compete against one another in each challenge and a new Edit mode where you can customize a mini-game by changing the reaction time, adding different musical pieces, and even creating your own Remix stages (up to 4 mini-games). And whatever you make you can save, edit later, and share with your friends.
