The game starts out you picking out your charecter's gender. Then later you and your friends have been in the Digital world for a long time and have had no partners. So one of them says "We need Digimon partners!". You and your friends grab your digivices and go to the main lobby. The main lobby person asks you what you want, you tell her. She goes to a desk and to a computer and asks you what Digimon you want. You can go up to Mega but each level still has the same amount of exp, speed, streangth and everything else no matter the level. The only ones you cant choose are legendary Digimon, Like Lucemon or Milleniumon. You get to pick it's gender (except certain ones like Angewomon or LadyDevimon). The fun part is you can play wi-fi story mode, it let's you play story mode but with other players around the world. Also another part would if you get enough experiance as a tamer you can get legandary digimon and have them make new sections to the digital world. The real enemies are the Seven Demon Lord Digimon. You can't tame these though. You could do whatever you like. Like being an outlaw or having tons of job like, rancher, teacher, breader, robber or creating a line of groups to do your job with you. Also Digimon don't attack you out of the blue, instead they are walking around so you can see and beat ones you want to beat or avoid ones you want to avoid.
